Eileen Hamblin Named Entrepreneur of the Year

Congratulations to Eileen Hamblin

The Northern Region Women's Council of REALTORS recently named Eileen Hamblin, of RE/MAX Leading Edge, as its Entrepreneur of the Year. Eileen is a gifted REALTOR and Broker/Owner who blends her unique attention to detail with a warm-hearted and practical approach to help both clients and agents, and has always sought to power our industry forward.

Eileen paired with Ainsley Donaldson 17 years ago to open RE/MAX Heritage and now is one of four Broker/Owners of RE/MAX Leading Edge, with offices in 12 locations. Eileen has worked tirelessly since those early days to build a company that provides exceptional client focused service. She felt it critical to offer agents an opportunity to run their own businesses utilizing the best technology of today and ever-evolving strategies to create win-win situations for clients. One word that would accurately sum up Eileen is integrity. Her colleagues call her the voice of reason. She has a welcome ear and is solution-oriented.

Eileen's many accomplishments include the Presidency of EMAR in 1991 and numerous other awards, including being named as a Melrose Citizen of the Year. She is also the recipient of the Milton H Shaw Distinguished Service Award. She has served on the Board of Directors at EMAR and MAR, and has been named, along with her partners, as a Broker/Owner of the Year by RE/MAX of New England.

AGENT OF THE MONTH

Mike Hughes with his "Mad Hatters" Henry and Eden

Mike Hughes with his "Mad Hatters", Henry and Eden

When Mike Hughes isn’t focused on real estate, his focus is family.  In the last few years both have grown quite a bit.  Mike’s returning clients and referrals from friends and neighbors are responsible for his professional growth.  Mike and his wife, Jennifer, have increased the size of their family with the addition of Eden and Henry.

Mike, who is originally from Buffalo (and yes he does like Buffalo wings) started his real estate career in the Boston area about 10 years ago.  He is an amateur photographer and he and his wife like to entertain at home.  Mike found himself with less and less time for athletic challenges as his family and business grew. Nowadays he lists “family outings” as his hobby.

AGENT OF THE MONTH

“If you need something done ask a busy person!”  Laurie Randazzo qualifies as a “busy person” but always seems to get things done.  She is a single mother raising three kids yet she manages a successful real estate career and still finds time to run marathons and give back to her community.  Recently Laurie presented a workshop for other agents on how to integrate an iPad into their daily practice.  Last week-end she ran in the Komen Race for the Cure.  Her clients are her raving fans and even they wonder how she does it all.

“I leverage technology in everything I do.  My clients find that means a marketing program with a global reach resulting in the best outcomes.  But I also use it for everyday tasks.  I use technology to minimize things like shopping whether for clothes or groceries.  However I haven’t yet figured out how to use it for baking or driving the swim team to practice but I am working on it”, Laurie quips when asked about her full schedule.

Laurie grew up in Concord and graduated from Lake Forest College and earned her MBA from Lesley.  Paul Mydelski, owner of RE/MAX Leading Edge notes, “Laurie is a great ambassador for our company and her clients agree wholeheartedly”.

OUR AGENT OF THE MONTH

Dan Demeo

Newton

If you want to see someone who is happy in their career choice, you don’t have to look any further than Dan Demeo.   Dan is a very successful professional in our Newton office.  He is very quick to say how much he loves what he does so it is no surprise that he has been in the industry for 20 years.  He literally grew up in the business as both his parents were realtors.

He attended the Cabot School and is a graduate of Newton North High School.  He and his wife have chosen to raise their family here too.   One of his three sons is currently attending the Peirce School.

He is a runner who also enjoys golf, bike riding and snowboarding…all interests that will serve him well as the father of three growing boys.

Dan is past president of the Kiwanis and has volunteered for many charitable initiatives throughout the Newton community.  Currently he is involved in the CAP (child abuse prevention) program and is taking training that includes topics like anti-bullying.

“Dan is the complete package and we’re honored that he has chosen to associate with RE/MAX Leading Edge.  We see his commitment to his clients, his family, his community and our team daily”, remarked Paul Mydelski, owner.
